Practice Guidelines

Practice Policies & Procedures

Standard clinical operating procedures for appointments, cancellations, and emergency protocols.

Appointment Types & Consult Duration

Standard appointments are allocated 10–15 minutes and are intended to address one or two straightforward clinical matters. If you have complex medical concerns, multiple issues, mental health care plans, or minor surgical assessments, please request a Long Consultation (20–30 minutes) when booking to avoid clinic delays.

Cancellation & Non-Attendance Policy

We understand that unforeseen events happen. However, failure to attend without reasonable notice deprives another unwell patient of access to care. Please provide at least 2 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your booking.

Walk-In Patients & Triage

While booked appointments are prioritized, our reception and nursing staff are trained in clinical triage. Patients presenting with chest pain, severe shortness of breath, heavy bleeding, or acute trauma will be assessed immediately ahead of routine appointments.

Home Visits & Residential Care

Home visits are available at the discretion of the treating doctor for regular, established patients whose severe medical condition prevents them from attending the clinic in person. Requests must be made early in the day.

After-Hours Care Deputising Service

Outside our published opening hours, medical care is provided by our accredited deputising medical service. Contact 13 26 60 for after-hours GP home visits or phone triage. In life-threatening situations, always dial 000.
